Winscombe is a village in Somerset, with a population of 4,500. It is located 7 miles southeast of Weston-super-Mare and 14 miles southwest of Bristol.

Sites of interest include the Church of St James, which dates from the fifteenth-century and is Grade I listed. It can trace its origins to the twelfth- or thirteenth-century. West of the village is Max Bog, which is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest covering an area of 10.6 hectares. The village has two primary schools, while the nearby Churchill Academy and Sixth Form provides secondary education and further education courses. Sidcot School is an independent school established in 1699.

Winscombe has facilities including a pub and a library. The recreational ground has facilities for sports including tennis, hockey, football, cricket and rugby. Winscombe R.F.C. is the village's rugby club.
